Until the pandemic, JoyRiders' success was built primarily on word of mouth....in the space of a few months, everything changed!
Thousands of women joined our webinars and online coffee breaks during the pandemic;
Tens of thousands viewed our YouTube videos
...in response to their questions and requests, when rides began again, we started groups right across London, plus Oxford, Manchester and Cambridge.
JoyRiders are building a UK-wide cycling movement for women of all ages and backgrounds.
Since the end of lockdown, we've taken over 5,000 women on more than 600 rides - plus taught 1000s of women and families to ride for the first time!
We're looking for a primary sponsor to cover the costs of our core activities who would like to take that journey with us. A sample of what we're offering can be seen below... Could your organisation be our partner?
JoyRiders are currently in discussions with Komoot to support our Ride Leader volunteers.
We selected Komoot a long time ago as our 'go-to' cycle navigation app. We liked it so much, we even made a video about it!
It's getting a little dated now - but our belief that Komoot is the best navigation app for cycling remains unchanged.
This award is a sample of the success we've achieved without even trying.
Imagine what can happen once we really start promoting JoyRiders as a major catalyst for community cohesion and integration... We seek to build the confidence and involvement of women in more than cycling - but across all aspects of their lives.
Another example of our award-winning approach.
Joyriders have engaged with thousands of women, predominantly via word of mouth, attracting many hundreds to participate in our rides - some of them learning to ride for the first time.
Imagine what we can achieve when we start promoting our rides and associated training properly!
All three of JoyRider's Directors have - in the past two years - been named as one of Cycling UK's 100 Women in Cycling.
We intend building on that reputation in the future!
